International Climate Champions

BY: President of ICC, Mellisa Muchenje

On Tuesday 17 2012 the International Climate Champions visited Chihota area, a village situated 18km from the school. It was our second visit since 2010, where we planted 450 trees. On Tuesday we gave away 400 trees to the villagers and 9 to Bumburwi Secondary School, which hosted the ceremony. It was a great honor to give away the indigenous trees and help people within our community. We had an opportunity to share with them about the importance of trees and ways in which we can protect the environment, and also how we can combat Global Warming.
